West Country Ash & Elm Windsor Chair. Circa 1780

Description

Fine Georgian West country, probably Devon, ash and elm comb back windsor arm chair of generous proportions with out swept arms. Shaped elm seat and standing on well turned front legs united with crinoline stretcher. All in fine un-touched original condition with no repairs. Slight wear to one front leg at bottom. Superb honey colour with stunning waxed patina - it glows. A very fine example of its kind.

Size; 37" high, 22" wide, 23" deep. Seat height 16"
