A most useful desk accessory with a gleaming piece of antique tortoiseshell used to create an attractive and tactile handle. The collar joining the handle and glass is solid or sterling silver hallmarked for 1905, Edwardian in era.

The glass is of course new, creating a clear and very usable lens, with a good magnification.

Excellent condition measuring 6 1/2" long with a lens diameter of 2 1/2".
