An Unusual Victorian Silver Mounted Match Striker

A charming and unusual silver mounted match striker from the end of the Victorian era and assayed in Birmingham. This large example has a ribbed glass body for striking and a reservoir to hold the matches. The shape is different from the more commonly found rounded examples and has a large base, giving it a second use as a paperweight. A good collector's item and good gift idea. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no chips or cracks to the glass and no holes or splits to the silver. There are a few minor dings and bumps to the silver commensurate with age and use.
