Supported on square tapering Georgian style supports with brass castors and united by a solid mahogany under-tier with a further brass gallery. This desk is veneered in the finest flame veneers throughout and is finished all around so it can be free standing in the centre of a room. English circa 1890-1900

This specific form is supposed to have been designed in the 18th century for the Prince of Wales (who later became George IV) by George Hepplewhite.
