Salisbury Antiques Centre has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
It has a flush mounted campaign handle to either side of the base edge and superbly crafted flush hinges.

The case is opened by means of a quality Bramah patent sprung lock which is stamped with “Bramah Patent under crown motif and with the queen Victoria stamp, the signature feature of all quality boxes of this period. Both the lid and the sectioned base are lined with a lavish silk velvet.
The three large decanters are in superb condition with no chips or scratches to note and they come complete with their original flat faced mushroom type stoppers.
