Marble Top Gueridon Centre Table C.1840.

19th century
Description

Stylish mid 19th.c. French marble top centre table or gueridon c.1840. Retaining the original inch thick grey marble top with a moulded edge of concentric rings designed to stop spilt drinks from running off the sides. Mahogany veneered apron on solid oak groundwork. On an hexagonal baluster form pedestal and tripod base with matched flame mahogany veneers and scroll carved detail. Raised on neat little carved claw feet. Minor wear to the marble, otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
