A Handsome Silver Letter Opener

1900 - 1920
Description

A handsome silver letter opener dating from 1911. This quality piece has a hallmarked silver blade with delightful green onyx handle. The handle is embellished with a band of white guilloche enamel to the middle and a silver terminal. The letter opener retains some of the original gilding to the silver and is a wonderful usable piece, making for a good gift idea. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Very good, with no cracks or splits to the handle or the blade. General surface wear, and a few small marks to the enamel, which appear as black spots, all commensurate with age and use.

Hallmarks :- Clear and readable.
