The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The watch has a key-wound movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 1,445,328 dates it back to 1880/81. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 53mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop.
There is a discrepancy in dates, and signs that the movement has been replaced at some time in its life. The case is good condition and has engine turned detail to the hinged case back.

The watch glass is in good condition.
The signed dial has a few hairline cracks but most are barely visible to the naked eye. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch comes with a white metal chain, 25cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.
The watch and chain will be sent in a new presentation box.
