Antique Omega Pocket Watch, Circa 1910s

Antique galonne cased Omega pocket watch, circa 1910s.

The watch has a signed stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover upon which is engraved a previous owner's details, Carl Wolf Vilshofen.

The watch measures 49mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The galonne case is 800 silver with a rose gold wash around the edges... unusually the majority of this gold wash is still intact. The inside of the case back has the early Omega logo. The case is in good condition with the engine turned detail still being nice and crisp. There is a cartouche to the back with the initials CWV. There is a 4mm ding down towards the hinge on the side of the watch so not too obvious.

The watch glass is in good condition. There is a faint line running across it, towards the bottom, but this is a manufacturing line, not a crack.

The signed enamel dial is in lovely condition. Original ornate hands, popular in Scandinavia in the 1910s, and outer minute markers picked out in gold.

The watch comes on a single chain, 22cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.

The watch and chain will be sent in a new presentation box.
