An Antique Kurdish Luri rug with a very interesting field design of repeating flowers which in turn create a repeating diamond design. The condition of this rug is very good with complete ends and selvedges. Natural dyes have mellowed and make this a wonderful interesting addition for the floor or to hang on a wall.
These tribal Persian rugs were generally woven in or around the Zagros Mountains area of western Persia by the Lurs people. These Persian carpets are beautiful tribal art, often primitive but have wonderful designs and colours.
