Tall Biedermeier Mahogany & Marble Top Chest of Drawers C.1840.

Description

Tall mid 19th.c. biedermeier style chest of drawers c.1840. Original white marble top within a thumb moulded edge over seven drawers affording plenty of storage inside for clothes etc. With beautifully figured flame mahogany veneers arranged in a symmetrical pattern across the drawer fronts. Canted front corners with a neat little carved detail of a scrolling acanthus leaf applied to both sides below the level of the slightly shallower top drawer. Raised on a moulded plinth also veneered to match. Oak drawer linings and back boards. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Original locks, key supplied.
