A wonderful satinwood bedside cupboard dating to the Edwardian period. This has been sympathetically french-polished which has brought out the colour and patina beautifully. Constructed to very high standards it has very detailed marquetry decorations. With a black banding around the edge this cupboard has useful storage with one fixed shelf.
The handles are silver-plated which demonstrates the level of care and attention to detail during construction. Close to exhibition-quality this does not have a makers label or stamp but is almost certainly made by a top company, such as Gillows or Howard & Sons. A heavy fine quality antique that is ready for any home.
