Description

A fine quality mahogany Arts & Crafts Period cabinet by Shapland & Petter Of Barnstaple. The upper section with an over hanging cornice with buttress supports inspired by a George Walton design above rectangular mahogany glazed doors opening to reveal a silk lined interior and with glazed ends. The lower section has a bow front centre with twin mahogany lined drawers and finely cast octagonal handles and chequer band inlay with an open under-tier. Supported on square supports with block feet, stamped S,P & B to the locks and having a design number to the back, English circa 1900
