Description

A classic 12 drawer stained and polished mahogany and deal entomological collectors cabinet by messr watkins &doncaster of 36 strand, london w.c. In original condition with working lock and key.

This model of collectors cabinet was a staple for watkins and doncaster and was favoured by collectors all over the world. This example dates from around 1890, the heyday of collecting.

The cabinet is fashioned in mahogany and stained and polished deal and has twelve drawers with closely fitting glazed frame tops. The paper liner to each drawer is original and if required we are able to re-line to the highest standard. Delivery is part of our service and can be arranged, please ask.
