This is a fascinating and amusing piece of tobacco memorabilia in full working order and with the original key.it comes with some old pennies, (240 to the pound if you're old enough to remember....sadly, I am!).

Woodbines or 'woodies' were the staple smoke of the working man when I was growing up and the name is still remembered by many. This type of device was common on the streets, in pubs, social clubs and anywhere where the public congregated, absolute state of the art in it's time! Can you imagine now a world where something like this would last five minutes in a public place!!

This machine works well and would still dispense if required. It has all the original paperwork attached and is in excellent order. I estimate it to date from around 1930.

Very rare to find such these days, especially in working order!
