A French brass cased striking carriage clock. An enamel dial with 'arrow' blued steel hands and Roman numerals. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the hours and 1/2 hours on a gong. The original lever escapement. Subsidiary alarm mechanism. Retailers name to the dial 'Ploor & Sons, Madras, Paris Made'. Circa 1895.
