An attractive, good quality Victorian figured walnut freestanding davenport with boxwood inlay. The well fitted and inlaid stationary compartment having an ebonised pen tray, ink well and various pigeonholes with three quarter brass gallery above. The shaped fronted inlaid fall with thumb moulded edge and a green leather writing surface with gold and blind tooling. The interior beautifully veneered in maple with 2 dummy and 2 working drawers, and working lock and keys.To the right side are 4 mahogany lined drawers with turned pulls with opposing false drawers to the left side. The front having further subtle boxwood and inlay and stringing with shaped and carved supports. The shaped base raised on bun feet with brass sunken castors. In A1 condition, with keys.
