Description

A lovely late 19th Century French cylinder bureau. Well made in kingwood and rosewood and decorated to the fall with a classically hand painted scene in the Vernis Martin style. Embellished with parquetry work inlay throughout and fitted with brass mounts and a brass gallery to the top. There is a single drawer to the front which sits under the cylinder. The cylinder is raised to reveal a fitted interior with a pull-out writing surface and 3 stationary drawers. The drawer and the fall are both lockable (key supplied). Professionally refinished in our workshops and now offered for sale in excellent condition. With a great colour and patina, ready to go straight into the home.
