Serpentine Fronted Burr Walnut Chest on Chest

1900 - 1920
Description

A splendid George I style, serpentine fronted, burr walnut chest on chest , or tallboy. Very well made in solid walnut and with attractive burr walnut veneers onto an oak carcas. This chest is of very generous proportions , standing bold on its bracket feet and offering significant storage capacity from its arrangement of 2 short over 6 long , graduated drawers. All drawers are fitted with their original brass handles and the drawer fronts are cross banded with herring bone inlay. The chests corners are canted. Sympathetically refinished in our workshops and now offered for sale in excellent condition. With a great colour and patina its ready to go straight into the home. It splits into 2 sections for ease of installation.
