~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~
A lovely original antique French clock by Japy Frères.
The lower panel is a beautifully painted seascape of a ship leaving harbor. The clock is beautiful from all sides and could be displayed on a desk or table.

The dial is porcelain, delicately painted with flowers, butterflies and a bow. The rear door is glazed with convex frosted glass. Please note that this type of clock does not have a glazed front bezel.

The French movement is of high quality and has the Japy Frères mark on the backplate. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is an old replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video available of the clock running!

Condition of the case is very good, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with some occasional tarnish or discolouration. The porcelain is also in excellent condition with some loss to the over-glaze gilt decoration and applied porcelain jewels.
