Description

A late 19th, early 20th C Naval Lieutenants Bicorn dress hat. exterior dressed with beaver skin with a black lace webbing and gold brocade to the right side and tips. Internally the hat is lined with pleated silk and has the label of renowned naval hat maker Edwards & Gittings Kent.

The hat is in the original japanned tin box. Over all in good condition, wear associated with age and use to both the box and hat.
