Antique Silver Snuff Box (Squeeze-to-open) - Chester 1905

Description

A stunning EDWARDIAN SOLID SILVER SNUFF BOX made by John Millward Banks and assayed in Chester in 1905.

Of circular form with superb machine turned decoration to the lid and base, this lovely snuff box has a squeeze action to open the lid.

The snuff box is free from any added inscriptions, monograms or engravings but does have a blank cartouche on the lid that could be used to personalise this unusual piece. The interior of the box retains some of the original gilt coating.

In excellent condition and in full working order this unusual and superb snuff box would make a lovely gift or would add to any collection.

Condition:

Used / Excellent

There is no damage and there are no repairs.

There are NO dents or dinks - unusual for a piece of this age.
