Antique Victorian Solid Silver-lidded Claret Jug

This is an elegant example of a Victorian claret jug.
 
The cut glass is in beautiful condition with a lot of work on the main body of the jug, terminating is a smooth neck and standing on a star cut base.
 
The solid sterling silver lid and handle are clearly hallmarked for London 1900, with the maker''s mark of William Hutton & Sons. The silver is free from any engravings and is in superb condition. The thumb piece is plain and well-attached and the handle has a wonderfully sharp angle.
