Description

An antique 1895 silver Waltham pocket watch.

The watch has a key-wound movement which is working nicely. ( A winding key is included )The movement is the Home Watch Co grade and the serial number 6947582 tells us that it was made between February 1896 and November 1897. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50.4mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and has Birmingham hallmarks for 1895 with a maker’s mark for Alfred Bedford, the manager of the London branch of Waltham. . The case has light surface marking from use and some wear to the engine turned detail on the back but overall it is in nice condition for an 1890s piece.

The glass lens is in nice condition.

The enamel dial is in nice condition.

The watch has its original gold hands and a blued steel sub seconds hand.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
