Description

A rare elm 17th Century small five plank coffer. Having a rectangular hinged top retaining the original steel clasp above a primitively carved front, with the original steel lock plate dated 1694 and with the initials T.W. Having further carved detail to the ends. A wonderful colour and patination English circa 1694

Dimensions: 32" wide x 14.5" deep x 21" high

Condition: This coffer is in wonderful condition. A great colour and patina. The internal hinges have been replaced sometime in the 19th Century
