Antique silver half hunter pocket watch and albert.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement, which is signed LR&Co, is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 48mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the three covers for Birmingham 1882 together with the maker's mark of LR&Co. The front cover has blue enamel filled Roman numbers around a small central lens. The case back has small dings and unevenness.

The winding crown pushes in to release the front cover which you then open with your thumb. Inside there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition. The white dial is in good condition and has lever set blued steel hands, a sunken subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch comes with a single chain 33cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. There is also a shorter chain upon which is a white metal, probably silver, and enamel fob Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants... there is some enamel loss but still a very attractive fob.

The watch and chain will be sent in a new presentation box.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
