A splendid late 19th century French mahogany vitrine , decorated in the Vernis Martin style. Of very good construction in solid mahogany (with a good colour and patina) and embellished throughout with crisp ormolu mounts. Decorated with classical hand-painted scenes in the Vernis martin style. The ormolu mounts include a central panel to the top freeze depicting cherubs. The whole cabinet is surmounted by a varigated rouge marble top. The single central glazed door opens to access a lined and shelved interior. The sides of the cabinet are of concave form. Offered for sale in excellent original condition, ready to go straight into the home.
