Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
The fall front drops down and sits on pull out rests to reveal pigeon holes, drawers and a cupboard to the interior all with inlay. A nice sized bureau with beautifully figured oak with good colour.

Solid and sturdy with good colour. Lots of old repairs and alterations over the years. Missing escutcheon to bottom drawer. Old mend to back foot (see photos). Old splits to below fall/ above drawers (see photo). Other wear and marks commensurate with age.
