~ French - Circa 1870 ~

~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~

A lovely Rococo clock by Vincenti. Flamboyantly modelled in gilded bronze, waisted case with swirling acanthus, 'c' scrolls and flowers. The lower part of the case is fretted to allow a glimpse of the pendulum swinging within. A gadrooned urn filled with flowers sit on top.

The dial is porcelain enamel on copper with delicately cut gilt hands and separate minute ring. The rear door is glazed with frosted glass.

The French movement is of high quality and has the Vincenti mark on the backplate. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video clip of the clock running and striking available.

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration and there are no losses. The dial is also in excellent condition with no damage.

Vincenti clockmaker's mark on the movement backplate

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
