Magnificent Figural Black Forest Pocket Watch Stand - Owl Family C.1900

Description

A beautiful hand-carved novelty pocket watch stand (pocket watch not included) made from Linden wood and modelled as a mother owl perching atop an Oak branch surrounded by Oak leaves with two baby owls at her feet, one with the original amber glass eyes and the other with the original yellow glass eyes. The mother has two original large amber coloured eyes.

Dating to c.1890/1900 it remains in excellent condition measuring 5 1/2" x 3 1/4" x 10" tall.
