A good quality French Vernis Martin mantel clock. Well cast ormolu rococo case mounts. A very well painted case with romantic scenes and floral decorations. An enamel dial with individual raised numeral sections and blued steel hands. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a gong by Japay Freres. Circa 1885.
