A 1959 Universal Geneve Polerouter Jet

1940 - 1960
Description

A 1959 Universal Geneve Polerouter Jet automatic gents wristwatch. A high quality 28 Jewel mechanism with clever microtor automatic wind to allow the slim case design. Mechanism ref 215-9 and the original winding crown. A stainless steel case with elegant lugs and Gold dial indexes and dot markers with crosshair and gilt hands in superb original condition.

Created by design legend Gerald Genta (Patek and Audemars Piguet fame) in 1954 for pilots flying over the Artic circle which needed timekeeping excellence and anti-magnetic properties. The Polerouter Jet was more expensive than a Rolex Explorer at the time and this is the best condition example on the market direct from a private collection.

From Kembery Antique Clocks Ltd you can expect a genuine wristwatch supplied with a presentation box that is in full working order and sold with 12 months guarantee. Free UK tracked, insured and signed for delivery on a day of your choice, International deliveries please contact us for a quote.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
