~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~

A beautiful antique French classical white marble boudoir clock by the famous maker Samuel Marti. The silky white marble is mounted with crisply modelled and finely gilded bronze. To the sides are cornucopia, an urn to the top and fretted laurel wreath panels to the base.

The dial is porcelain enamel on copper with delicate floral swags between the numbers and the original finely fretted gilt brass hands.

The French movement is of high quality and has the Samuel Marti mark on the backplate. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a old replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video available of the clock running, please ask.

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration. The dial is also in excellent condition just some tiny nibbles to the winding holes. The marble has a good polish and has mellowed to an off-white over time with some staining and discolouration. There is an occasional small nibble to the edges particularly to the rear.

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
