Description

An Edwardian mahogany kneehole one piece desk from the workshops of Shapland & Petter of Barnstable. The rectangular shaped top having a moulded edge and hand dyed inset leather writing surface with blind and gold tooling. The 8 graduated drawers having chamfered edges with boxwood inlaid stringing and good quality cast brass ring handles and escutcheons. The whole raised on off set plinth bases. Condition - Very good, not freestanding. Dimensions:- Height…30.25’’/ 77cm. Width…45’’/ 114cm. Depth…21’’/ 53.5cm. Kneehole Height…25’’/ 63.5cm.
