Georgian Elm Elbow Chair. Circa 1770

18th century
Description

Fine George III country made elm elbow chair with high back having pierced shaped splat and shaped arms supported on turned uprights. Standing on square legs with plain stretchers. Leather upholstered seat. All in fine original condition. Has a little very old and very dead worm at bottom of legs as often the case with elm. Wonderful honey colour with great waxed patina. All firm.

Size; 41" high, 24" wide across arms, 21" deep. 18" seat height.
