Small Military Campaign Chest of Drawers C.1840.

Description

Lovely little mid 19th.c. military officer’s campaign chest of drawers c.1840. Of useful small dimensions, just 32" wide. Solid teak boards with brass corners to help protect it from the rigours of travel. Four drawers with unusual turned and recessed handles and Bramah style escutcheons. Raised on short turned feet. Separates into two sections for ease of transport, the bearers on the sides would originally have had rope handles. Excellent colour condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
