Fabulous Grand Vintage Sterling Silver and Enamel Lidded Powder Box - 1924

Description

A magnificent and very large powder bowl or box, a really showy example with the most exquisite guilloche enamel lid.

The lid is made from English sterling silver with a hallmark (rubbed) for Birmingham 1924, making this nearly 100 years old. The lid fits well and the underside is fitted with the original mirror. The lid is decorated with the most wonderful white / silver guilloche enamel and decorated with a pretty hand decorated floral and foliate garland.

Superb condition measuring 6" in diameter x 3 1/2".
