A Mahogany Early Victorian Period Writing Desk

Description

A mahogany Early Victorian Period writing desk. Having a solid figured mahogany rectangular top with a raised gallery and a moulded edge. With an arrangement of six mahogany lined drawers with one rectangular cupboard with "Dummy" drawer fronts. The drawer fronts in beautifully figured mahogany with turned mahogany knobs and two lever brass locks. Having solid mahogany sides and supported on turned bun feet. English circa 1850-1860

Dimensions: 42" wide x 21" deep x 31" high (knee hole 18" wide x 24" high)

Condition: This desk is in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed
