A Fine Quality Mahogany Inlaid Edwardian Period Display Cabinet by Shapland & Petter of Barnstaple

Description

A fine quality mahogany inlaid Edwardian Period display cabinet by Shapland & Petter of Barnstaple. The upper section having a broken neck cornice with ribbon and swag marquetry inlaid detail and applied gilded roundels, above the twin astragal glazed doors with boxwood line inlaid detail, which open to reveal a silk lined shelved interior. The lower section with a solid mahogany top and two mahogany lined frieze drawers with finely cast oval brass handles and back plates and shell inlaid corner spandrels. The whole supported on square tapering supports with brass ball feet and a lower shaped shelf with brass gallery. English circa 1900-1910

Dimensions: 35.5" wide x 16" deep (9" deep at the top) x 86" high

Condition: This cabinet is in excellent condition, newly re-lined in quality silk

A fine quality mahogany inlaid Edwardian Period display cabinet by Shapland & Petter of Barnstaple.
