What can only be described as a most exquisite pill/snuff box. Miniature in size, the rectangular shaped box is enhanced by the lovely engraving to the top lid, with a small empty cartouch in the centre. When opened a fully gilded interior is on show and clear hallmarks are visible on the interior base with partial marks to the underside of the lid for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1913 and maker''s marks for the renowned silversmiths Adie & Lovekin, along with the Lion Passant indicating sterling silver. The lid is hinged and the opens and closes nicely.
