A really superb solid silver Tea Caddy. This is a wonderful antique piece, aesthetically beautiful Arts & Crafts design and of lovely proportions. The silver has a light hammered finish so iconic of the Arts & Crafts movement. The body of the Caddy sits nicely level on three leaf feet. The lid, which pulls off, has a most attractive part crimped edge and a three leaf form finial. The interior of the Caddy is gilded. Clear hallmarks are visible on the side of the caddy for The London Assay Office alongside the Lion Passant for sterling silver and a date mark for 1927. The maker''s mark for C.J. Plucknett & Co is also clearly visible.
Condition: This Caddy is in great antique condition.
