Description

This antique French marble top cabinet is fabulous quality, in great condition & has some great features. It’s mainly burr walnut on the front & the sides, with figured walnut & kingwood bandings, plus some satinwood inlays. There are gilt bronze mounts all over, including some very prominent neoclassical mounts on the front sides. The gilt bronze mounts are exceptional quality & have natural wear to the gilt, which gives them a nice original look. The marble top is original & the feet are turned & fluted, with more gilt mounts. The drawer has gilt handles & a lock. The cupboard is well polished inside & also has a lock. Please enlarge all the images to see the quality & fine details, especially of the mounts. I would date this cabinet to around the 1920’s period.
