Description

9ct gold Helvetia cushion cased wrist watch, 1939.

The watch has a hand-winding movement, calibre 82C, which is working nicely. The movement is signed Helvetia.

The watch measures 28.5mm wide excluding the winding crown and 28.5mm high excluding the lugs so it would suit a slimmer wrist. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Chester 1939. The case is in good condition as is the lens.

The signed dial is in super condition and has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in an original Helvetia presentation box from the original retailer H Samuel.
