Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The central pedestal and tripod legs are intertwined with serpents and mythical creatures. A superb quality piece, the table top is hinged which enables it to tilt up.

Good colour and patina. Solid and sturdy. Section of one foot is missing (Please see photos). Old mend to other foot and various splits to top. The top tilts up but doesn’t stay in the upright position very easily - it will drop back down easily.
