French Sterling Silver and Guilloche Enamel Pill Box

1900 - 1920

Description

A handsome French silver pill box made from a good heavy gauge of sterling silver and dating to around 1920.

The silver is engine turned all around the sides and on the underside. The top is decorated with a wonderful "Peacock" blue guilloche enamel showcasing the wonderful design below including the pretty continuous floral garland. This is all framed in a simple black solid enamel border.

The lid fits well and once opened reveals the silver marks to the side of the lid and the base, the base also stamped "France",

Excellent condition measuring 1 5/8" in diameter x 1/2".
