Superbly made with matched veneers all round, this delightful desk is also cross banded in walnut, with plain and simple original handles of the period. This desk is in virtually original condition, the Walnut veneer retaining a terrific antique patina.
The desks stands on o'gee feet, and has three original green leather writing surfaces. There are nine smoothly running drawers, one bearing the round Heals stamp. The knee hole is of generous size being 24.5 ins high and 25 ins wide.
The dimensions are length 56 ins..142 cm height 30 ins..77 cm. and depth 32 ins..81 cm.
