A Beautiful piece preserved in a purpose made Frame
The fan has the most superb detail, it is made in fine gauze (silk I think) and is decorated with tiny silver and gold sequins (all very tiny and different shapes but under a glass you can see the fine silk threads)
The pale tortoise shell sticks are carved and inlaid with silver and gold
The frame is paper covered, inside and out this is showing signs of wear on the outside
The frame is 16” wide, 9” high and 1.5” deep
