In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the 1900s.
It is well constructed with handmade brass rivets and pins and the top of the lantern lifts up on a hinge. There is a glass base in the lantern to allow for a candle to stand in it or an electric bulb could be suspended inside though the hole below the hanging loop.

The lamp is in good original condition with no major damages. The lamp has obviously been used and has picked up some small knocks and dents and the brass has tarnished in places over time but overall it is a good clean and sturdy lamp. Some of the internal pins that hold the panes of glass in place are missing but each pane is still securely held. It has been lightly cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
