Description

A beautiful Georgian mahogany chest of drawers dating from the early 19th Century. Excellent quality and very well made with a lovely rich patina and flame mahogany drawer fronts. It has an attractive bow-front and is set on sweeping bracket feet. The drawers have small brass ring handles which, although they are not original, look great and are in-keeping with the style of the chest. The drawers are all oak-lined, they open well and generally clean and tidy inside.

It is in good condition for its age. There are the usual small signs of wear, some minor marks and old scratches and some minor age related splits in the sides but nothing detrimental. One of the back legs has broken off at some time during its life but has been professionally repaired and strengthened and doesn't pose a problem now.
