Description

A fine and rare mid 19th century Chinese rosewood cabinet, simulated bamboo carcus with MOP inlays to door frames and drawers. Fitted interior, glazed doors over silk-screened panels with pierced fretted backing panels above two lower drawers. This cabinet is raised on a carved and pierced fretted plinth with carved splayed claw feet.

Condition; This cabinet is of very high quality and in overall very good condition, a few very small pieces of fretwork need to be repaired/replaced. The top pierced pediment may have had side pieces originally, although we are unable to be certain of this. Some signs of shrinkage but nothing untoward. One pain of glass will be replaced before sale.
